The Stars Empty
PostSubject: The Stars   The Stars EmptyFri May 07, 2010 9:33 am

"The Stars will come to give their sacrifice for freedom."

"Engage." spoke a booming Thalassian voice, their tones a soft tenor upon the still air within a sheltered portion of the Stormspire. Two, maybe three heartbeats passed before sparks of purple light-energy drew curved arcs from several circular channels around a large circular gate. Electric humming filled the air as the ground itself shook under the growing pressures around the gate.
"Fire mana-stabalisers." Spoke the voice once again, originating from the figure of a pink-hued being, clad in wrappings of a gentle silver. As they spoke, bolts of blue arcane energy shot out from four bands of a solid metal into the curving purple flow, distorting their presence. Beside the pink-hued being, a slender, sickly male Sin'dori stood watching the air inside the gate itself as it started to shimmer and corrupt, filling with bursts of golden light as the power built around them.
"Co-ordinates locked. Activate Stormgate control matrix." With these words, the Stormspire shuddered under the pressure, as a beam of twisting energy blasted out from behind the gate, it's target the very centre. Upon reaching the epicentre of the twisting mana and arcane energy around it, the blast flattened out like a dish, becoming liquid and transparant. Yet even as the gargantum portal started to take shape and solidify, the eyes of the male Sin'dorei lashed upwards to the top-left corner of the structure. There, an arc of blue arcane energy was twisting outside it's bounds, fading as it's spread too far.

"The Union or the Moon will perish."

"Shut it down!" the male Sin'dorei barked, suddenly launching into motion as he took a step forwards and directed a finger towards one of the ethereals standing close to a control mechanism.
"Now!" he barked again, adding violition to his command, yet even before his words were finished, a shudder and an explosion rocked the Stormspire to it's foundations, the left-hand corner of the gate exploding in a ball of flame and loose arcane energy. Within moments, every ethereal and sin'dorei in the immediate area was hard at work, trying to revert the mana-collapse before it grew too unstable. Brow sweating, the commanding Sin'dorei turned to the first ethereal.
"Officer. Go and ensure that the 'package' is safe. My enchantments may not prevent it's activation in the presence of this mana-collapse. We will have to find a new home for the Mark II. Kael'thalas had no idea of the potential he unloc-" the man was caught short by a second explosion, this time driving him off his feet. Quickly muttered words saw the Sin'dorei land safely, light as a feather, yet turning back to the malfunctioning gate saw only chaos.

"The final end will be determined by this."

Raising one palm towards the confusion, the Sin'dorei began a chant, binding the powers of the arcane around him to his will - yet even as he did so, the air around him shimmered. Amber light filled his vision, corrupted with bands of obsidian as they streaked through the air around him. Frowning, the Sin'dori glanced down to the left-hand pouch at his working robes, where a sphere was glowing bright enough to be visible through the fabric there. Eyes widening in shock and surprise, he turned his attentions from the gate to the Demon's Shard of Time as it started to activate itself against his will.
"Maez Ur!" he spoke quickly, his tounge easily finding the Eredun tounge.
"Maez Ur!" he spoke again, as reality started to fade and fluctuate around him.
"Maez Ur Phantaz!" There was a sudden silence, all noise cut from the mind of the Sin'dorei, before - with a rushing surge, reality was consumed and turned to blackness.

"The remaining Stars will join the War."

"Katra zil shukil..." was whispered softly on the air as the male Sin'dorei awoke, his fel-green eyes finding little to observe in a world of Darkness as it existed around him. Vague, insubstantial images flittered through the air around him, too distant to be properly seen by his eyes as he frowned towards them.
"Galtak Phantaz." spoke the whisper again, as the man fished the now-dulled Amber Sphere from his pouch, frowning down at it.
"This should never have happened. I bound Magyk to my timeline." the Sin'dorei spoke, eyes fixed upon the swirling centre of the Sphere.
"I obey only him. I obey only the Lord of the Fallen. I obey only the Master. I obey only he who will Herald the Destruction of the Burning Legion. Forever."
"By the bindings of my Soul to the Heart of the Beast Phantaz, I command you to return me to my timeline - before the collapse of the Stormgate." spoke the Sin'dorei, his teeth gritted with the effort of trying to remain in control.
"Only the Destroyer may command me." spoke the whisper once more.
"And by my soul-bond to the Destroyer, I command you obey me!"

"Chalice, Moon, Sun and Union will be touched."

There was a flash, a sudden surge of energy as reality plunged back into the perceptions of the Sin'dorei, piece by piece. Images flittered through the air around and about him, images firstly of himself as he returned to Karazan once, and then himself and Magyk as they returned again. Images of Magyk as he fell through time with the Felguard, and again, each of the times the wayward Lord visited in him partial death. Yet one image filled the Sin'dorei's mind with confusion - the image of a young girl. Instantly, the confusion was dispelled as reality returned to itself, just as a booming Thalasain voice spoke, "Engage."

"The extent of their change will govern the final victory."

Just me trying to get back into things... dunno if this post even works. I'll have to re-read when I'm not tired.
