The Demon of Andorhal - Summary Empty

The Demon of Andorhal - Summary BookI

In which, the Spirit of a malevolent foe recovers some of it's former strength. Allies stand together against the Dark Star as it gathers power and allies - though a price must be paid so that the Time might be found to seek out the answers that are so desparately needed to battle this new, alien foe.

The Demon of Andorhal - Summary AnUrgentSummons-1
After learning of the Dark Rebirth of the Demon, Phantaz the Immortal, Jaelen Sunwhisper summoned all that he could to hear what he had learned. There was a threat on the horison, and one that would prove too great to ignore for long. Thus began the Last War against the Demon. Thus did Catari and Arli learn their heritage as 'Pure', and the destiny that one of them would become 'Chosen'.

The Demon of Andorhal - Summary ZulAmanII-1
Phantaz's power was divided into eight pieces, which took physical form as crystal shards, upon the moment of his last battle. With only five in his posession, it would be a race to find the remaining shards and keep them from the Demon-Prince. Locating one in the ancient keep of Zul'Aman, Catari led a force to reclaim it, only to be thwarted in the last moment by the Demon's first Champion, Kupyal the Imp. The Demon's power grows...

The Demon of Andorhal - Summary Outland_skyIII-1
With their efforts thwarted, and the Demon's power growing, Jaelen saw fit to summon the power of the Oracle to aid their fight. Summoning those who would come, he shared that which he had seen in the depths of the 'Oracle's Eye'. There, at the Stormspire, some saw the future that might come to pass if all should fail, and in light of the potential decimation of Silvermoon, they chose from their number Cain to lead them to future battles... and hopefully to victory...

The Demon of Andorhal - Summary WRATH-1
Jaelen's contacts manage to uncover the location of the next shard - and Cain is quick to lead a number against the foes that stand between them and it. Although beset by foes, including the Demon's Second Champion, Lyntai the Succubus, they snatch success at a small price, and prevent the Demon reclaiming his power over Nature. Yet in so doing, the Demon's Greatest Champion revealed himself to Arli and taunted his approach. The battle would come soon... the Demon's Chosen Champion awaited.

The Demon of Andorhal - Summary Trials-1
The Four Champions, Phantaz's highest servants were not to be trifled with. An ancient power would have to be awoken in order to battle them, so thus - in fullfillment of the Oracle's prophecy, Cain led both Arli and Catari to bid and vy for the place as 'Chosen', and the Blade that once contained the power to destroy the Demon. Yet that power owed it's presence to four Avatars, who's powers would not always be constant. With this matter as of yet unresolved, Catari became the Chosen, and all prepared to deal Phantaz a taunting blow...

The Demon of Andorhal - Summary Time-1
High above Deadwind Pass, where it was said that Phantaz first fell into this world, they fought against three Champions, and thanks to the willing efforts of Jaelen who bendt Time, and the sacrifice of Magyk Sunwing, all three were thrown down and defeated, despite the insurmountable odds. Phantaz the Demon had been dealt a heavy blow, yet had not been drawn into battle himself. Thus ended Book I.

The Demon of Andorhal - Summary BookII

In which, the ancient power of the Elements that battled Phantaz the Demon were discovered and called upon. Yet as all eyes rested on the Spiritual Land of Kalimdor, a being of alien power and great strength fell down upon Azeroth. None then knew that this being would be a warning of things to come...

The Demon of Andorhal - Summary Fortune-1
With little to guide them after the Battle at Karazhan, Jaelen suggested that the Oracle be sought out for her guidance and wisdom in these troubling times. In Kalimdor, it was discovered that the power of the Elements were waning away, and the Spirits were troubled. Locating the Oracle and her Guardian, she shared a new Prophecy, and the location at which they would discover the future as it would come. Armed with this new understanding, the Heroes prepared...

The Demon of Andorhal - Summary FallingStars-1
Traveling to Desolace, the location at which the Oracle predicted they would find the future, four black orbs fell out of the sky, slamming hard into the barren earth to form an irregular square. One by one, these orbs hatched horsemen of dark shadow and evil intent. Their very presence drove away the power of the Elements, and only magic could even harm them... one was destroyed, and so the others fled. Thus the Heralds had come to Azeroth.

The Demon of Andorhal - Summary Destiny-1
With Kalimdor itself troubled by the waning power of the Elements, and three Heralds loose upon it's surface, the time had come to rekindle the powers of the Blade that Catari carried. It alone had the strength to harm the Demon in the Past - and with the troubles of Kalimdor so strong, he was bound to be preparing, in secret, in the East. Venturing out to sites of strong elemental power, the Heroes managed to recover the powers of Fire, Air and Water - who gave their blessings to the blade. Further sucess still - two more Heralds met their end. One remained.

The Demon of Andorhal - Summary Hopebegins-2
Seeking out the powers of Earth, the Heroes discovered the final resting place of the last Herald - who had been slain near the entrance to Blackrock Spire. Venturing inside, they found the lost powers of Earth, who gave it's blessing also to the Blade. Now it was complete, yet more dauntingly so, the Heroes discovered a Chest of ornate, alien design. Clearly, the Herald had set it in place, and been slain by some other foe as it attempted to leave. The Chest's mere presence drove the use of magic away for miles around, and touching it... would bring the sound of drums loudly to the touchers mind... the sound of drums that had been heard, on and off, by everyone since Phantaz was Reborn.

The Demon of Andorhal - Summary ChapterV-1
Storing the Chest safely under guard in the Blood Knight Temple, it was decided that it should -not- be opened. Yet the powers that be had other ideas. Inspiring simultaneous distractions in Silvermoon and Eversong, a duo of ill-intented wizards stole into the weakened Blood Knight Temple and opened the Chest. When the Blood Knights returned, they found a dark mist seeping from the Pit in which they had once held M'uru, the Chest empty and open before them. All magic in the immediate area refused to work, the mist below infrequently flashing with hidden energy. All those brave souls who ventured down... did not return.

The Demon of Andorhal - Summary ChapterVI-1
Determined to rid their City of this invader, the Blood Elves prepared a curious device to limit the anti-magic aura of the 'Harbinger' that had been summoned by it's Heralds for long enough to send a strike force against it. With some success, they fought down into the Pit, finding that the dead would be animated by the powers of the Harbinger to battle against them. Eventually, they discovered the Harbinger, who whispered to them through the air itself. It sought to open two gateways to it's people, the Shades. It sought to summon them through, to feast on the magic of this world. Battle ensued, and although the gates were closed, the Harbinger proved a foe too much. Only by calling upon the powers of the Blade Catari carried could it be stalled - and this expended near to all of the Blade's gained power. Even then, the Harbinger did not die - it simply started to regenerate itself.

At this moment, screams erupted from the Temple above - and many raced back to discover the cause. What they saw would shock any - for the inhabitants, mostly initiates, had been butchered with carefull deliberation, their bodies skewered and scatered about the Temple. Later discovery would reveal that a Shadowy Demon had burst into the Temple, killed all in his path, then lept down into the Pit, to the Harbinger, as the Heroes retreated. When they returned to the Pit, the Harbinger was gone - and as was Phantaz the Demon.

The Demon of Andorhal - Summary Empty

The Demon of Andorhal - Summary BookIII

In which, the final battle against Phantaz would ensure, securing the fate of the world of Azeroth, though Doom was still foretold. The remaining children of a Dark World would fall to Azeroth, and the true identity and purpose of the supposed 'Demon' would be revealed. Unexpected allies would arise, and a new age would begin.

The Demon of Andorhal - Summary RATRACE-1
When the Oracle revealed to the guids of the Horde that a 'power over life and death' would fall to Azeroth, and then as predicted, a series of alien rocks fell to the land. Greedy, or Good-Intended Heroes strove to reclaim them, one by one, until five crystal shards had been gathered. Yet one final piece fell - a Dark Black Rock which plunged into the Lake Elune'ara in Moonglade. Despite the best efforts of the bickering Horde, it was taken from under their noses by the Alliance... What were these pieces? What purpose did they serve?

Heading to Shattrath, it was revealed that the crystal shards had once been beings - living beings from the world 'Kal'Jor'. The Naaru strangely seemed to profess to 'know the tales of Kal'Jor', though they shed little more light on the situation, save that each crystal was a 'Key' to the 'Heart of Kal'Jor' A'dal agreed to take one of the crystals and guard it, whilst G'eras ensured that another would come to it.

The Demon of Andorhal - Summary Andorhal-1
Curious, meddling wizards accidentally released the last piece of Phantaz's Immortality from it's shell, the Key of Flame. With this final piece returned, and by chance, the patient 'Demon' had all he needed to summon the remaining, dead spirits of his Brothers and Sisters, the other Harbingers to himself in Andorhal. There he spoke out to 'Invoke the Right of Andor', and three of the Harbingers agreed to follow his will. Only one refused, the Harbinger of Frost, who defied Phantaz and retreated back into her Key for protection. Despite this, Phantaz's former Heralds managed to capture and corrupt the Key... the time for the Rite of Andor was fast approaching.

Jaelen Sunwhisper, who had formerly spearheaded the efforts against the 'Demon' had been long since absent from matters - yet as predicted by the Oracle, he returned to the Heroes as 'The Guide'. Thanks to some 'Act of Kindness' his mortal sickness was gone, and he had forsaken magic for the Light itself.
