Arli Sunblade awoke to the gentle tapping of metal on marble, as the silver tipped cane of the masked elf strode into the holding cells beneath the Blood Knight Temple. Magyk Sunwing swept a hand across his face, the delicate sapphire laden silvered mask vanishing as if made of smoke, to reveal eyes that looked above all, predatory. Magyk smiled in the way only he could, as if a lion were looking at it's helpless prey. Arli stood and stretched, confident that when the containment aura was shut down he would receive a figurative slap on the wrist and sent on his way. He tried to smile back at Magyk, realising that although Magyk made the guards release him more times than he cared to remember, Magyk had never come to free him personally. Arli audibly gulped as comprehension dawned as to why the sapphire blue-clad elf before him was here.
“Good evening Sunblade.”
“Hi.”
“Sleep well? I can't imagine so what with only cold marble for company.”
“Yeah, well, as well as can be expected. I did ask them to put a bed in here for me.” Arli smiled, trying to diffuse some of the tension that gripped the room. His smile faltered as he saw Magyk's eyebrow slowly raise. “Joke” he added hastily, with another temporary grin.
“Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't realise. Do tell me if you feel obliged to make another...” Magyk's face was expressionless as he looked around the room for a moment, before snaking his hand through the air, a sapphire blue armchair appearing with a small thud as it hit the floor. Magyk reclined in the seat, resting his silver cane against the padded arm. A further wave of his hand, and a small pile of paper appeared between the two elves, which Magyk rested his feet on before continuing. Arli began to consider the ramifications of Lord Sunwing settling in for a long conversation.
“Do you know why I am here Sunblade?”
“I presumed you were going to release me from this travesty of justice.”
“Oh I will. But first you have a choice to make. My feet are currently resting on a record of all the petty crimes you have committed since we first met. Let me rephrase that. All the crimes you have not been charged for, thanks to my most generous intervention. Right now, the penalty for these crimes stands at a little over twenty-six years incarcerated at one of Quel'thalas' luxury stockade resorts... time which you must serve, along with the extra weeks for yet another bloodthistle possession charge...” Magyk watched Arli's eyes widen in shock. “There is, however, an alternative.”
“Go on then? I suppose you want me to kill someone?”
“In a manner of speaking. I am offering you a job. To institutionalise the rabble that are the assassin's of Silvermoon, and turn them into a fighting force that will make Stormwind Intelligence fear us and be ashamed of their own meagre talents.”
“Your joking. You've got to be. My loyalties are to the Thorns, to Anethrax. I can't just leave.”
“You can and will 'just leave' for two and a half decades, Sunblade. Or you could live up to your family's expectations and make something of your life. I am offering you a catapult back to the bosom of nobility, where you belong. A way to live free of the servitude of the Thorns, and a route to a much better life, for you, your family, and, by extension of your efforts, the people of Silvermoon. It is the right choice...”
“My duty is to the Thorns, to Sylvanas!”
“Your duty, Sunblade, is to Silvermoon and Quel'thalas!” Magyk's voice echoed around the room, several of the other prisoners stirring from their drunken stupor's. The unleashed fury in Magyk's eyes caused Arli to step back, receiving a mild shock as his shoulders touched the barrier wall. Magyk pursed his lips and took a few moments to inhale and exhale, calming himself. “Very well, Sunblade. As you are...unwilling to co-operate, you will be escorted to the Deep Cells within the next several days to serve your sentence. Your family will be informed and your assets, such as they are, will be seized and will be returned to you when you have served your sentence. You....disappoint me, Sunblade. Hopefully a quarter of a century without distractions will help you think. Good morning.” Magyk stood, the chair, and paper, vanishing in a haze of sapphire smoke. The Magister turned, his long robes flaring momentarily, before he strode purposefully towards the door.
“Wait!” Magyk stopped, turning his head slightly. “Alright I'll do it...” Magyk bowed his head in acknowledgement before sweeping out, his cane clicking satisfying on the marble once more.

((Should have waited for the "Tauer Rangers". Reading this makes me glad i've never bumped into the scary chars of the server Powerfull people = bad news. Nice work Maggie!))
