Robi sat, somewhat dejectedly by the shore of Crystal lake. She idly threw a small stone into the water and spent the next few seconds watching the ripples.
She sighed.
Everything seemed a little flat now, Ivery it seemed had gone, she hadn't seen or heard from him since the Sundering, well apart from a brief glimpse when she was freelancing for SI:7 a week or so ago. He'd been in the field directing operations as she'd passed through. There'd been no time to speak, but he'd flashed her a smile and given her that wink...
Then there was Shay...she sighed again. Where he was and what he was up to was beyond her, she'd given up asking or protesting. Let him do what he wanted, she only wished that if he wasn't going to show up, he'd let her know.
She suspected he was off with Sadine somewhere but again she'd given up asking.
She let her thoughts drift aimlessly, "Uruk, Uruk" the lake frogs chorused at her.
She smiled at the noise.
"Uruk" she mused. Orcish for Robi...
Her thoughts flicked to Arli, she wondered how he was, had her letter caused him trouble? Was he still in trouble? she kinda hoped not.
It was Winterveil..time for goodwill and all that,
perhaps she should try and find out..wish him seasons greetings and no hard feelings...
She sighed again..no hard feelings? He'd poisoned her stabbed her then thrown her into the sea...but then again, she'd had him kidnapped and beaten....who's feelings were hard?
Ah what the hell she thought, she'd find the young Sin'Dorei girl and see if she could get word to Arli just to wish him well and perhaps soothe her conscience.
Nah..she should just leave well alone...but...
"Uruk Uruk" the frogs continued their chorus.
She rose to leave still smiling to herself. As she turned to head back to the village she heard a soft whisper in her ear and a scent of warm leather filled her head.
"Uruk" the voice said from the shadows. A soft brief sensation of a kiss on her cheek then she knew she was alone.
"O fulo Osa" she shouted into the wind.
Heart a lot lighter she wandered back to the inn, perhaps, she thought it was a Happy Winterveil after all.
